I don't know the name of this tune, but you've probably heard it. It's not to hard to figure out. I made this song to go with Lesson 5.5

Namdemun, Please!

Namdaemun burned down in spring 2008 due to arson.
But it's still part of the GEPIK curriculum.
It's a little harder to find it these days.

The days of the week must be sung with one breath, Repeat the song as 1 "week" 2 "weeks" 3, and so on. Students will stand up and sing till they run out of breath.

What a Tall Tower

Way Up in The Sky!

a favorite camp song...
This song uses a lot of prepositions, good for learning Right & Left; and is a great way to start a morning class.
I start by drawing a picture on the board.
Here's a paintbrush example of what I would draw:

I have a dialogue with the kids as I draw.
What is UP here? (the sky!)
What is IN the Sky? (mommy bird!) (the bright sun!)
What is this? ( It is a tree!)
What is IN the tree? (a nest!)
What is IN the nest? (baby birds!)

There is a tune, but it can also be done as a chant instead.
