Way Up in The Sky!

a favorite camp song...
This song uses a lot of prepositions, good for learning Right & Left; and is a great way to start a morning class.
I start by drawing a picture on the board.
Here's a paintbrush example of what I would draw:

I have a dialogue with the kids as I draw.
What is UP here? (the sky!)
What is IN the Sky? (mommy bird!) (the bright sun!)
What is this? ( It is a tree!)
What is IN the tree? (a nest!)
What is IN the nest? (baby birds!)

There is a tune, but it can also be done as a chant instead.
Lyrics:

Waaaaay UP IN THE SKY
the little birds fly
while down in the nest,
the baby birds rest

with a wing on the left (tweet!)
and a wing on the right (tweet!)
the little birds sleep.....all through the night
shhhhhh they are sleeping!

shout the next part
theeeeeee BRIGHT SUN COMES UP!
the dew falls away!
good morning! good morning!
the little birds say.
